This application serves as a valuable tool for geologists engaged in field studies, offering a comprehensive platform for capturing and analyzing geological data. Users are able to photograph outcrops, interpret high-resolution images, and subsequently export this information into a 3D format to aid in the construction of geological models.

Within the application, users can delineate facies intervals, identify sedimentary structures, and establish boundaries on the captured images. The functionality extends to adding annotations at any location, measuring the dimensions of sedimentary bodies such as channels and lobes, and calculating various body statistics.

Leveraging the capabilities of an iPhone or iPad, users can effectively measure dip and azimuth, with the option to pinpoint these measurements on images or utilize GPS data for exporting dip markers directly to the 3D model.

Once the image scale is set by the user, all interpreted boundaries and intervals can be exported in 3D format compatible with GOCAD. This includes images, interpretation boundaries, dip/azimuth data, and facies intervals.
